RFID tags in vacuum cleaners for the elderly help track usage and maintenance, while cleaning robots ensure hands-free operation, improving convenience, cleanliness, and reducing physical effort for seniors.

The evidence from this study supports the view that the family is the main source of assistance to dependent elderly; usually the woman in the family. Very little assistance, either informal or formal, was received by the carers.

“i want a vacuum cleaner which is easy to hold and have a adjustable handle makes it easy to use without straining my hands, and its better if its lightweight, so I don’t feel exhausted after cleaning. I finally feel like I can manage my home without it being a struggle!”
